When does the word of the day change?

Every day at midnight. Everyone sees the same word on the same day.

The word I'm looking for is missing.

Use "Suggest a word" from the search or from Settings. We add good suggestions to the word pool; new words arrive without an app update.

Where are my favorites and lists stored?

Only on your phone; deleting the app deletes them. Optional accounts with backup are planned.

I don't get the daily reminder.

Check that the daily reminder is on in the app's Settings and that notifications are allowed in iPhone Settings → Langenio → Notifications.
